Swiss pilots Kalen Dassanayake, Seb Cuanoud, and Cham Dassanayake attended the French regionals (ligue 9) on Sunday 29 May 2016. Participation was just shy of 70 registrations in 6 different classes.
Kalen (6 years old and the youngest driver in the field) followed his daddy to his the French regionals, and participated in the Rookie class of the Savoyardâ™s Trophy and the Stock (13.5T boosted) category of the ligue 9 (regionals class). Using his stock XB2 fully equipped with Team Orion electronics, that he built entirely himself (except for turnbuckles, shocks and diff), he came 2nd place in the stock category of the ligue 9 regionals and 1st place in the Rookie class of the Sa voyardâ™s Trophy!

Seb Cuanoud also participated in two categories with his fully powered Team Orion/NVision XB2; Master 2WD class of the Savoyardâ™s Trophy and the Modified 2WD category of the ligue 9 (regionals class). In the ligue 9 (regionals class) he qualified and finished 9th. In the Savoyardâ™s Trophy Class he pulverized his competitors and finished first convincingly ahead of his rivals that are no foreigners to this permanent track.

Cham Dassanayake participated in the Modified 2WD category of the ligue 9 (regionals class). He qualified 2nd but managed to take a convincing win in both A mains to finish 1st with his Team Orion powered XB2.
